The Lizard Lick branch of the East Tennessee and Western North Carolina
railroad is a G guage 1:22.5 scale layout. It is currently located both
outside and inside. (See Tweetsie
for information on what is left of the ET&WNC in Boone, North Carolina.)
The outside branch is located consists of an oval of Micro Engineering
code 250 AL track along with a number of Micro Engineering #6 turnouts.
Currently, the outside oval consists of about 150 feet of track. There
are plans on expansion (who does not have plans for expansion), but right
away rights will have to be negotiated for from local property owners along
with funding from other corporations.
In the basement, there is a small oval (about 12 feet by 12 feet) of Bachmann track. This loop allows for enjoyment at all times and to test out the Bachmann shays. It is a convienent location to test run engines and to show off the various cars I have scratch built.
